Il Vicoletto is a traditional Italian restaurant situated in trendy Darlinghurst, a stone's throw from Sydney's CBD, Kings Cross, Taylor Square and Woolloomooloo.

In Italian, Il Vicoletto means a small alley or lane, referring to the historical cities of Italy where the streets are very narrow and abundant with street cafés, bistros and restaurants.

The restaurant, a family-run business owned by Jenny and Luciano Capraro, was opened in April 2003.

Luciano, originally from Latina (situated in central Italy near Rome), is a great chef with an experience of 40 years in catering and entertainment, previously owned Il Puntino, another Italian restaurant nearby. Because this restaurant was medium-sized, seating around 50 people, the opening of a new, larger dining venue became a necessity and so was born Il Vicoletto!

The dining area of our restaurant can seat more than 100 people. There is also a stylish street terrace with shade in the summer and gas heating in the winter able to seat up to 30 people. One advantage for the people sitting on the terrace is that they have great view of the surrounding area and are able to enjoy a cigarette in open air!

Il Vicoletto offers a wide range of traditonal Italian dishes, ranging from pizza, pasta, steaks to seafood, gelato and fine wine. The restaurant is licensed, offering a large range of alcoholic beverages - spirits, beer and wine from Italy and Australia. At our restaurant, you'll also find a series of exquisite cocktails created specifically for Il Vicoletto!

We offer menus for all budgets and tastes - À la Carte menus and variety of set menus. The restaurant is ideal for everything from a romantic night out to weddings, functions, parties and much more. Therefore, we can tailor menus for groups of people or individuals with special needs.
